you didn't see me i hope

for a few days you might see more canine entries here than others. well the reason is that this entire week, starting yesterday i have to take one of my dogs to the vet, post surgery. when one goes to the vet the experiences are naturally of the canine order. i have no problem. i love dogs and i love to capture them- in a passing sort of a way. here is another. this one hangs around a lot in the surgery, probably given up by his owners. at the time of the picture here, he was playing with the gauze and looked up at me at the sound of my camera, as though feeling conscious. but nothing to worry dear- am just sharing your wit with the world; not reporting on you. i have even christened him the vet's apprentice!

the view between the windchimes

if you look inside these chimes, you will see the garden, the greenery, the trees or the leaves. let me get better with my hand. you will see better images

any guesses???!

no, this picture is not taken by me, nor have i taken it from a website. this was taken by anupam i think in mauritius. i need to ask him if he did. and he simply put them on my computer. with a view to sharing. i am doing just that.

my dog, my country

this young woman here has brought this pitbull mix all the way with her from austin, texas. the dog, named lucy was adopted from a shelter there. when the family decided to move back to india- they could not but bring their canine companions back too...the dogs from america. lucy has another sibling curiously called ...'lalu'

are we allowed to drive looking backwards?

ginger in the driver's seat has a pertinent querry. am wondering what to reply:(

eastern window

here is a view from my room, towards the east. i call it my eastern window. these two pictures here are views from the same window...with and without the bamboo curtains we call 'chikk'
if you see close enough, in spite of the curtain, the greenery outside is visible. i am lucky that i live in a house with so much of greenery around...

mundane world...

my poor poor mundane world
nothing happens here with fanfare
but everything happens still
when i write i do not celebrate
nor do i a lament wail out-
in the quiet of my world i create, i write
birds come by accepting my humble offering of water
and whatever else i can muster...
i have no dazzling displays in my camera captured
not anything at all that can stir you at all
in my mundane world, only my spirit makes it happen
and not the charging energy of the marketplace.

banana tree in the evening lights...view from the rear balcony

this banana tree
grows right next to my wall
or i planted thee
i know not now
but everyday, several times too
when i happen to go that way
i see thine abundant greenery
and i wonder all this while
where were ye, where were ye?
